it does not currently, it requires the GUI setup to be present in the same folder as the Gunbot.
Might be an interesting feature for the future though

You're always free to spend your money any way you like of course :)
However, this GUI strives to be something more than just an accessory, certainly in the long run.
Today I've uploaded a new version with alot of new features, to name a few:
  • Editing of gunbot configuration
  • Creating new gunbot configurations
As with gunbot itself, the list of new possibilities also never ends and I plan to keep on improving the GUI :)

Looks nice!
Just go for it ;)

I would like to see advanced and simple stats - easy accessable or seeable.
Especially something like Profit of the Day (BTC & $/) (1H, 12H, 24h, 7 Days, 1 Month, Last Month, or custom time)
This would be nice ;)

Also the possibillity to see it nicely from the smartphone.

I am currently using Gunbot GUI for a week now. And I must say I really like it. I mostly use it to monitor my bots start and stop ones I do not need.
I also find it works pretty good on my mobile.

There is/was a bug on the version I had causing the GUI to stop, but this will be fixed in the next version release. Maybe it's already out. Not sure.

Also sometimes the page may not load, due to poloniex error. But that is a poloniex problem, not the GUI. Yu just have to refresh the page 1 or 2 times until the poloniex error goes away.

You know the famous 422 or 429 error.

All in all I am pretty happy with it.

Works with version 3.3 ?

Yeah it does, it basically only needs an executable file (i.e. .exe on windows) to run.
As of GUI version 0.92 you can alter this executable name in the configuration to make it flexible.

That's a shame. Are you using Safari perhaps? This is the only browser that doesn't support the chart library I use.
On any of the other major browsers you should have no problems.

At the moment the charts do not show the trades, but this is a feature planned for the future!

What is the CPU/RAM usage like when running the GUI?

To be really honest, I personally have not done a series of testing on different systems. I use a decent VPS (not in cloud) and run around 40-70 pairs at any given time and haven't experienced any issues on the server-side. The GUI application doesnt take alot of resources at all, however the process manager (PM2) can be quite demanding. Some people are running into limits of their VPS when running a lot of pairs, but usually this is just fine.

When browsing the GUI and opening lets say 50 pairs worth of charts with bollinger bands, it will slow down for a moment, but I've never experienced any unworkable lag myself. I'm trying to make everything as lightweight as possible and will continue doing so. At some point in the near future I will focus a patch on performance issues overall.

One of the features I plan to implement is an overview of CPU/RAM usage of the system. This will entail a general summary, but also a detailed list (per pair).

That's a good idea, I will do so in the future. This might take some time though.
In the meantime, you could check out the live demo. It always runs the latest version (and is arguably better than a video :) ).

thank you for this update! this improves the security a lot!

I'm now running the GUI about one month I guess. At first (in the first version) I had a lot of trouble with crashes and 422 errors on Poloniex.
Since then, there where many many fixes and updates and every time I contacted Sjakil he helped.

Right now, with the latetes version not applied (I'm on 0.93) the GUI runs great, no errors, no crash since days! So I decided to switch from Windows VM to Linux and control Gunbot with over 60 pairs through the GUI only.
And thats whats really great, you do not need to do lots of config things, just download and install Gunbot and the GUI and configure and run all from the GUI.
Since the last update it is possible the edit the Allpairs config and much more, no need to access the server through ssh anymore.

I think its the easiest way to configure and control Gunbot. It can be done from everywhere I just check the GUI with my iPhone on the way.
You can sees errors / trades / profit / loss all on one screen and decide and change the trading strategy.

On Windows it helps alot but on Linux it makes administrating the Bot really easy.
Tonight I'll update to the latest version, really excited to see whats new!

just a quick edit after I updated to the latest version (0.94): stable as expected and 2FA is working fine! thx!

REVIEW:

I contacted Sjakil earlier today and requested a demo license. He promptly gave me a key and assisted beginning to end for the set up. In all honestly, that was only a matter of copying the files into the directory and opening the ports in the windows firewall settings. Total time, less than 10 minutes from first message to being up and running!

I now have the vm's ip and port mapped to a redirected subdomain of one of my websites so I can easily access it from any device, including my iphone or ipad. (ex: Gun.xxx.io) With the addition of two-factor authentication and SSL options, it's clear Sjakil is dedicated to both security and further development.

Sjakil also answered any questions I had in addition to offering some general advice on gunbot. I very much appreciated his prompt, friendly, and professional manner. The impression I got was: Should problems with the product occur, they would be handled as swiftly as possible.

So, you want to know how good the GUI addition is?

Let me put it this way... Even though the trial period was for seven days, I knew within 2 minutes that it was exactly the tool I needed and purchased the license immediately. Seriously, try it out, you'll love it. That's all I can say. I'm going to sign off and get back to work now. Only this time, instead of wondering how the bot is doing, I'll be able to glance at my iphone and should I need to make a change, I won't have to boot up my personal laptop and connect to the vm. Woohoo.

hi this is how I resolved it:

strings /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-amazon-linux/4.8.3/libstdc++.so | grep GLIBCXX
you should not see 3.4.20 in this list

rpm --import https://www.centos.org/keys/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7
yum install libmpc-devel mpfr-devel gmp-devel zlib-devel* -y
curl ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gcc/gcc-5.4.0/gcc-5.4.0.tar.bz2 -O
tar -xf gcc-5.4.0.tar.bz2
cd gcc-5.4.0
./configure --with-system-zlib --disable-multilib --enable-languages=c,c++
make -j 4
make install
gcc -v

Oh my goodness. Sweet mother mercy. I just demoed this thing at home and I can't begin to tell you how sweet it is. I am absolutely blown away with the functionality of this interface. Well, all I can say is you have got to try this out. It does everything and it is pure class.

I've not been able to open more than 10 pairs on Win 10 64, and getting that many open has been hit or miss, and if I try to do anything in the native GUI it's at least 50% chance of json crash.

I just fired up 14 in Sjakil's and it flew, not even breaking a sweat. Then I opened it in a browser on a PC, a Mac, and an iPhone all at the same time and zero lag. Smooth as butter.

It tracks your profits, shows your bands, your trades, let's you tweak all pairs and individuals, on and on and on. This is the missing piece of the puzzle right here ladies and gents.

Awesome job!

This is a total game changer for me... I'm realizing you can have all of your pairs loaded and even with all bots turned off you can still see real time charts of all your pairs (and trades) at once. So you can scroll through and decide which are close to setting up low BB cross, flip them on and repeat. I had previously been doing this "manually" clicking on each coin in Polo looking for big game to shoot with my "BB gun". You've taken what was a long arduous (and very tedious) task and actually made it into a fun game for me.

Having access to this on your mobile is the icing. Convenient beyond words. I definitely concur with other users' reviews, once you behold this, there is simply no going back.

The only constructive criticism I can come up with is the wish and real need for ability to monitor multiple instances and accounts. Consider the common use case of the user who has multiple linked exchanged accounts and/or parallel Gunbot instances. I would think you could run your GUI in parallel instances and designate them in application.preferences as children along with one instance as the parent to rule them all. Then they (the children) could simply redirect to parent.

I initially thought that displaying trades feature had not been implemented. Playing around I noticed trades don't display until you click off whatever time range that chart is on and change it to another one, then they are persistently shown for that pair, maybe needs a refresh button? Coinigy uses these buttons (see attached) on their site and I thought they were quite intuitive.

It would be awesome if you could work out a deal with Gunthy and bundle this in with the next release and possibly earn a few coins for all future bot sales.  This would make the bot more awesome overall and therefore more appealing for more people.

Really nice work! The community appreciates it!

Is it at all possible to remove the "Buy" or "Sell" target values if the bot is in Buy or Sell mode for that pair? Eg. my bot has previously bought some GNT and is now waiting to sell but I can see both buy and sell target values. Unless I'm misunderstanding the information being presented to me, it'd make it easier to see what the bot is actually doing. Just a suggestion :)

So excited to hear this news. Can't wait to see what all Sjakil has added to his masterpiece!

UPDATE: Okay, so I've rode the new version several laps around the track and as to be expected it is a fine thoroughbred race horse. I can now see 3 columns along with a whole host of other new eye catching features that are all very useful and well thought out. It is... fantastic.

Before purchasing Gunthy GUI, I could barely open 10 pairs through Gunbot's native GUI and used 100% CPU on Windows 10 64bit with 4 core 8GB RAM and SSD. With Sjakil's GUI on the same machine with 51 pairs open there is still room to breathe (see attached) while using less than half of my CPU and RAM!

One customer (me) I think summed it up best... "one luxurious console masterfully crafted from the finest bits of zeros & ones to ever cross your screen" :)

Using Gunthy GUI has allowed me to operate "ma bots" so much more efficiently, and has allowed me the extra time to become more creative in how I run them, to see what I am talking about please read this... Gunning the Multiverse with Hot Standby and Style!

Any news on a version for 3.3.3 ?

I am currently working on supporting version 3.3.3.

Since 3.3.3 has a new configuration structure and only runs with one instance of the bot, compatibility has broken.

My aim is to support 3.3.3 ASAP and improve the integration from there on forward, step by step.

Estimated time of arrival: somewhere next week (first week of august)

I didn't know you were buying it for that reason, or I could have told you about it  :)
Gunthar didn't give anyone a copy before the actual release, which is perfectly understandable of course.
But that did mean there was no way for me to anticipate the workings of gunbot with this new version.

Hmm i get the following error.

An error was encountered trying the fetch your bots:
poloniex: statusCode 422

also in the CLI
Error getting exchange balances: "poloniex: statusCode 422"

The Wiki mentions the following
Error getting chart data / trade history / exchange balances (for kraken, poloniex, bittrex)

An error occured retrieving data from an exchange API. Most of the time these cannot be avoided. Keep an eye out for error number "403", this means something went wrong during authentication with the exchange, indicating there might be a problem with your key / secret.

There is no mention of a solution, only "Most of the time these cannot be avoided.".

Thanks for the feedback.

The first thing I want to ask you is if you are using the same API key for the GUI as for the Gunbot? If so, please create a new API key for the GUI only.
This should have been mentioned on the wiki earlier, I've updated it now. If you use the same API key, the two applications might interfere with each other.
Besides that, you might have to refresh a few times and it should work. Also, I will be taking a closer look to see if I can improve the 422 situation on the GUI side.

If you keep getting the error, please contact me on telegram (@Sjakil) and we can take a look at it together.

I just downloaded the trial for Windows.  It's asking for SSL configuration.  I went to the following URL to get OpenSSL: https://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/Binaries and picked the fulgan.com one so I didn't have to install VC++.  I copied the files into the gunbot directory.  When I click Generate for self-signed cert, it simply says "Could not generate" in red.  gui-log.txt doesn't give any insight as to what the problem is.

Hey qborg,

Thanks for the feedback. You are right, this is not adequately explained yet. The last step that is probably missing is adding OpenSSL to your system path. In case you haven't done this, please follow this guide:

https://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml

Make sure the path to your OpenSSL binary is added like so:

PATH=C:\;C:\PathtoOpenSSL\;
(or simply add a new entry in case of menu on newer versions of windows)

It might help to restart your PC also, but after this the GUI should be able to use OpenSSL to generate a self signed certificate.

I will make a wiki post regarding this in the near future.

Hey tajneprzezpoufne,

Thanks :) Glad that you like it!

I am almost done with upgrading the GUI to support 3.3.3+. After that, I need to hold a proper testing session. If all goes well, I will release the update this weekend.

This GUI is meant to be installed on top of an existing Gunbot setup (copied into the same folder).
After that, the GUI can start instances of the Gunbot with the help of PM2.
As of Gunbot version 3.3.3, only one instance needs to be started, but the principle is the same.
Because it uses a specific naming convention, any existing bots will not be picked up and have to be stopped and started through the GUI.

The Way I Run Gunbot

By just a glance you can see
  • What has a balance
  • What your bought price was
  • What you target sell price is
  • Percentage from buy/sell price
  • Current price highs/lows
  • Where your previous buy/sells happened
  • What your profit is for the pair
  • Logs for the pair

  • Easily sort your pairs
  • Current balance on the exchanges
  • View all logs/charts none in minimized view or any combination

You can also see from the previous posts how easy it is to turn on/off a pair
Add pairs easily to multiple exchanges at the same time
Tweak your pair settings

By having the ease of control and the quick visual feedback
You will be a better trader
Enabling you to earn back the cost of the GUI quickly

Above photos represent gunbot v 3.3.2

Does this run on 3.3 I seem to keep running into issue, I am running VPS WIndows 2012 Server. I could get it to work on the new version of gunbot but not on the 3.3 that I prefer to be using right now.
I think during setup I whitelisted some IP's and one of them was wrong and when I try to connect to the GUI Server it says Socket Disconnected. Is there a way to remove this GUI and reinstall it fresh from the same gunbot folder? I dont want to lose all of my settings for gunbot, but I want to use this GUI :)

You can do this really easily by deleting or renaming the GUI configuration file: "gui-config.json". When you (re)start the GUI after that, it will write the default configuration to this file and you will be able to do the initial configuration wizard again. This should leave any other file(s) untouched :)

Could you please open the "gui-log.txt" file from your gunbot folder and scroll to the bottom of the file. I'm assuming the GUI crashes for some reason, this should be written to this log file. The error might help you solve the problem. If not, please contact me on telegam (@Sjakil) and we can take a look at it together.

Had it working find a couple of times but mainly this error

I had same issue, found out I was trying to use .97 on 3.3.2, and its not compatible. If you are using 3.3.2 you need to use .95 version and it will work.

Hello! I absolutely love the way this looks via the pictures. I'm currently in the process of buying gunbot and also a VPS to host it on. I was wondering what are the minumum computer requirements for this Beautiful GUI along with running Gunbot?
I'm looking at getting a 2.8(100% dedicated) ghz cpu, 4g ram, 2tb bandwidth and 1gbps connection speed but it's a KVM (shared except for the cpu) will this be sufficient for running the bot?
Can you give me a brief explanation on how to install this on a vps? Or refer me to a post where it has some instruction? as I dont want to screw anything up. I may have scrolled over it if there was information, if so forgive me. :)

Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up my bot with this GUI but unfortunately it doesn't show any logs from the bots.
The rest of the functions seems to be working.
Anybody ran into similar problems?

I'm using the latest version of the bot (4.0.5) and GUI (0.97) as well.

Thanks!

Hi there! Thanks! I am glad you like it :) The GUI itself does not use a lot of resources. Minimal CPU and around 60-100MB RAM. As for the gunbot, this mainly depends on the amount of pairs and which version you are planning to run. If you have the option, I would take a little bit more RAM (let's say 8GB), but 4GB should work fairly well.

I can refer you to the GUI wiki about Installation on this page:

Hi there :)

Admittedly, this is not as straightforward as it should be, but you need to start the gunbot after adding pairs to the configuration. The switches on each pair add/remove the pair from the gunbot configuration. The red/green circular button up top with a "G" in the middle will control the gunbot. I've included a screenshot of these buttons.

If I am pointing out the obvious here and this is not the problem, there could be something going wrong with your PM2 in the background. Please contact me on telegram (@Sjakil) and we can sort this out together.

Hi

It's me again  :-[

I'm trying to run a reverse proxy (nginx) in front of the GUI and all I get is a black screen.
If I check the page's source code it is indeed there but I can't see the GUI.

I know this is way off topic - sorry for that - but has anybody tried to do this?

My nginx config is the standard I've sued before:
Code: [Select]
    location / {
        proxy_pass http://private_ip_address:8080;
        proxy_http_version 1.1;
        proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
        proxy_set_header Connection 'upgrade';
        proxy_set_header Host $host;
        proxy_cache_bypass $http_upgrade;
     }

Thanks!

It sounds to me like something goes wrong with connecting to the socket server. Both web and socket server use the same port, but maybe somehow they can't both be proxied. I dont have any experience with what you are trying to do. Hopefully someone else can shine some light on this issue.

Anyone know what this would mean?

First time user
Fresh install of 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 16.0.4 LTS
GUI 0.95

This happens when I launch only 1 pair.

Look familiar to anyone?  Is it a permissions issue?

Any help appreciated  - thanks

I've noticed the same behaviour. Unfortunately I can't do anything about this, as this is gunbot behaviour and unrelated to the GUI.

Hey there! This usually happens when PM2 couldn't spawn a daemon or write log files. Please try doing the installation on a non-root user account, this will probably solve the issue.

Hi all,

In case you are trying to put the GUI behind an nginx reverse proxy you need to make sure the following is not present in your server config:
Code: [Select]
add_header X-Content-Type-Options nosniff;

Otherwise some browsers - e.g. Chrome - will block the autobahn.min.jgz saying :
Code: [Select]
Refused to execute script from autobahn.min.jgz because its MIME type ('application/json') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

How can I run this as a daemon that starts on boot in a linux vps?
« Reply #90 on: September 07, 2017, 11:33:15 PM »
Hey Sjakil,

loving the gui trial so far, I just have one question.  How can i set up the bot to start automatically and start gunbot at the same time when my linux (ubuntu 16.04) vps restarts, or at least as a daemon that does not require the ssh session to remain live for the gui to operate?   Basically I want it to run as a service that autorestarts without intervention.

Thanks for the great app! I'm certainly leaning towards purchasing a full license as it simplifies my gunbot management greatly!

Hey Tenacious!

I'm happy to hear that you like it so much :) There is an easy way to keep the GUI alive without needing a terminal window open. You can check out this wiki post for that: Keeping GUI alive.

This approach uses PM2, which allows you to keep an eye on your processes. You can use "pm2 list" to check out which processes are being managed by PM2, these can include the gunbot but also the GUI.

If you use GUI version 0.96 or higher, please make sure to reset the PM2 daemon at least once after installing PM2, before starting the GUI using PM2. You can use the commands below (this will also stop any running processes, including bots, managed by PM2).

Code: [Select]
pm2 kill
pm2 ping

I haven't done this myself, but in theory you could automate starting these same processes on system startup. Please keep in mind that in order for the GUI to pick up the gunbot, it requires an exact naming convention for the PM2 processes.

Hi,

I'd do the following:
1 - Install pm2 as described here: https://github.com/Sjakil/gunthy-gui/wiki/Installation#2-install-pm2-required--optional
2 - Start GUI with pm2: https://github.com/Sjakil/gunthy-gui/wiki/Keeping-GUI-alive
3 - Start the bot from the GUI
4 - Save the pm2 processes with pm2 save
5 - Create startup script with this command: pm2 startup ubuntu
6 - Copy the output and execute it

Just setup the Trail version last night and so far this is nice. Only couple things I thought would be nice.
  • Swap the Buy and Sell, Sell should be on top (Sell High) and Buy should be on bottom (Buy Low), little thing but I catch myself trying to swap them in my head.
  • I can see my value for Bittrex at the top, but it would be nice to separate that out from Alt Coin value and BTC value like on Gunbot Monitor, this way I can see how much BTC I still have to trade, right now mine is empty but I can't tell that from this screen, I have to see that from the Bittrex website on my wallet tab.
  • Instead of showing the Error (which is empty, or should be empty), it would be nice to be able to see "Last Purchase Price" here, and just have an error show as an icon if there is one and display the error when you mouse over the icon.

I notice on all my bots I only have 5 min candles and the rest are disabled, is this because I am running the trail version?

Thank you for the feedback. These are all good suggestions, will find some time to incorporate these :)

Bittrex and Cryptopia do not have a chart API available, so the GUI fetches market trades and calculates OHLC on it's own. There currently is a limit on how many trades it can store and so the charts can have a limited time span on some markets. With the coming update (0.99), this will be greatly improved and should no longer have limitations (it will still take some time to gather trades).

Also, why does it keep trying to open a socket to wss://api.poloniex.com?  I dont even have that exchange configured.

Please open the log of the GUI ("gui-log.txt") and scroll to the bottom. There will most likely be error messages there that can help you solve the problem. You might have to change gunbot version or something else.

Do you have PM2 installed on your system? I am asking because any PM2 version higher than 2.5.0 will break log support. The GUI has version 2.5.0 built in, but an existing PM2 installation could override this.

The wss socket connection to poloniex is an unused leftover from a previous version of the GUI. It should not be there and has been removed in version 0.99

Please add a DON'T BUY (or SELL ONLY) button for each pair.

Like the Toggle pair button, but it would set buy_enabled=false I guess.
Ideally, with the Shift trick to switch them all...

Useful to try to get rid of bags ;-)

Thank you!

Please add an optional Start Date to the Trade History.

It won't show and ignore (in the Profit/Loss display) all trades before this date.

Example: if you changed your whole strategy 5 days ago, put this Start Date to 5 days ago.

Thank you!

Love how the new profit/loss is, Something awesome would be to have a Daily profit/loss chart not sure how possible this would be. Would save having a spreadsheet as well :)

I profit over time chart is already available in the GUI, but I dont like how it works currently. I will revamp this is future versions and make it more awesome :)

Please add a DON'T BUY (or SELL ONLY) button for each pair.

The toggle pair button actually adds / removes the pair from the gunbot configuration (config.js), not simply changing the buy_enabled parameter.
Specifically configuring the gunbot to not sell or to not buy could be a useful feature in future versions.

The GUI already supports holding shift to apply your click to all pairs, including toggling on/off but also changing panel and chart settings.

Yes/no - I precisely meant: to leave the pair (not removing it which the toggle does), but to add a DON'T BUY (or SELL ONLY) button for each pair that puts buy_enabled=false.

Thank you!

I've foung a bug in the orders list date/time.

Here it shows 09:40:31
https://snag.gy/BpIrHO.jpg

While the real time was 13:40:31 (or 01:40:31 PM, as you can see the orders list in Bittrex):
https://snag.gy/OJP7lS.jpg

I didn't check the other dates, as I don't see any reason why this would be the unique order with a datetime problem.
I'll check more of them if you ask me.

Thank you!

Hmm strange indeed. I have noticed that the Bittrex API does return very strange timezones (compared to all the other exchanges). A reason for the difference could be that your VPS is located in a different timezone than the PC you use to check your bittrex account. The API will check the timezone of the machine that makes the request.

The GUI uses exchange API data to show candlestick charts. It then uses the following library (with default settings) to show bollinger bands.
https://github.com/d3fc/d3fc-technical-indicator#bollinger-bands

In the next few versions I will more closely integrate the gunbot data / settings into the technical analyses in the charts of the GUI.

Then this is very strange. The GUI does not change the date by any means before saving it into it's database. I will do more investigating into this matter. I haven't seen these differences in time with my own trades, so I might ask Bittrex for clarification

As of late this night none of my pairs fully load!?
What's going on here? I also get it on my local install...

So will run only the bot while I figure out this following hurdle:
Setting up Openssl on a Windows Server 2016 Contabo VPS... Wasn't as difficcult as i thought, It's worse! I can't seem to get it to work..😅

in advanced system settings PATH is already there, but it does not accept any form of PATH=C:\;C:\OpenSSL\, how exactly should you format this path?

also this isn't very clear what to do next:
Quote
The PATH is the system variable that your operating system uses to locate needed executables from the command line or Terminal window.
The PATH system variable can be set using System Utility in control panel on Windows, or in your shell's startup file on Linux and Solaris.
Making changes to the system PATH variable is typically not necessary for computers running Windows or Mac OS X.

Windows
Windows 10 and Windows 8

In Search, search for and then select: System (Control Panel)
Click the Advanced system settings link.
Click Environment Variables. In the section System Variables, find the PATH environment variable and select it. Click Edit. If the PATH environment variable does not exist, click New.
In the Edit System Variable (or New System Variable) window, specify the value of the PATH environment variable. Click OK. Close all remaining windows by clicking OK.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.??? What java code?

Also get two options to install in bin/bla bla or C:\OpenSSL\ installation folder, have tried both also 32 and 64 bit versions of the windows installer found here:http://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html

Meanwhile I will soldier on and try these steps: https://blog.didierstevens.com/2015/03/30/howto-make-your-own-cert-with-openssl-on-windows/

Bought today but the Profit/Loss part is very "weird" and not really understandable (to me).

What the hell does this numbers mean: +0.2 / +0.2 / +331

In the profit columne i want to see: average +% and/or average +BTC

Could we get an excel feature? Dump profit/loss detail into excel?

I hate the bittrex trade history and it seems like the data is there in GUI.  is there a way to export a profit total by pair, by profit/loss frequency and include percent gain and btc amount gained?

I'm looking to track pure profit.

Love the GUI, couldn't trade 5.04 without it!

I'm assuming you mean that you dont see any targets or errors? If so, please enable the VERBOSE mode in the gunbot configuration. This should bring them back.

The +0.2 means that your profit is 0.2% compared to either: buy amount(s) during the given period, your exchange balance or your total balance (depending on your settings which you can change by pressing the "Adjust profit / loss calculation button). The +331% is most likely caused by a bug that will be fixed with the next update.

What does the "+" mean in the strategy indication for each pair?

Eg. "bb+" compared to just "bb"

I see that newly added pairs are "bb", whereas older pairs are "bb+". So does the "+" indicate that there is enough data to properly use the bb strategy?

Thanks!

This indicates the existance of one or more override settings for this pair.

Ah that makes sense. Thanks.

Is there a way to see whether enough data has accumulated for Gunbot to start using the bb strategy properly? (As opposed to buying x% under the EMA)

If the gui chart can draw bollinger bands, does that mean that Gunbot is able to use bollinger bands?

Thanks, verbose did the trick! I will have a go at the ssl configuration again today.

By the way is there a way to save multiple configs for a strategy? So you can quickly swap according to market conditions, or how a pair is doing?

Like 5 or 15 minute intervals or with other experiments so you can easily revert to tried and tested settings?
BB debag+double up and a BB40/40 gain 0.7 scalping setting plus different bbstepgain/stepgain configurations like: light buy, medium buy and red market/catching deep dips buy levels without needing to edit values in each override every time?

Unfortunately the GUI can't tell you if enough data has been gathered in order to use BB strategy.
The bands on the GUI chart are calculated separately from the gunbot's BB data. This will be improved in later versions of the GUI.

At the moment there is no way to change multiple pairs at once, I am looking into ways of improving this. This might lead to a feature like a configuration / strategy manager or something similar.

You could use the "Reload pairs" buttons in the GUI options panel. This will remove any pairs that are currently disabled (in version 0.95 or lower it will remove all pairs).

When in Bittrex I add BB to the chart with a SMA period of 10 the BB in your GUI matches the one of Bittrex which is nice. As I understand gunbot uses SMA with period of 20. Will you be changing your GUI to match the default gunbot period of 20 ?

Hi Sjakil,

Just got SSL working and updated to v0.991! thanks for that wiki article a lifesaver! Windows is a nightmare.. I even created signed certificates but while uploading the .pem key file and then the certificate and vice versa it prompted it should have a .pem extention. Very happy it's done, thanks to your only working guide (I have tried a few..;))

Loving the GUI,  already noticed a few pairs that were triggering stop losses etc cutting profits where debagging would be better etc.. so it's a big help in finetuning settings and keeping up with a lot of pairs.

My question is, would dividing a lage amount of pairs (running around 80 pairs atm) across multiple instances speed things up?

(I'm getting the feeling gunbot gives some pairs more attention than others, might also be due to the large number of pairs or the GUI.  It is missing quick, brief price changes, where it if it was on the pair could have made several quick 1-2% buys and sells, but have seen this when running it in terminal too..)

Talking about multiple instances, would it be possible to create a few Gunbot folders/instances for different configs and get them, each on a different tabs in the webbrowser?

Taking this a step further I'm currently using two VPS's how do I get the GUI's of my VPS on my local browser? or iPad etc?

Also, maybe these must still update but why don't these buy sell values correspond to the BB settings?

hey guys can someone help me understand what i'm seeing in the attached screenshot?

i can't understand why the ticker price is below the target price and no purchase is executed. is it a problem with my understanding of the numbers, or is there maybe a problem with my installation?

any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi TheGobOne, thanks glad you like it :D

At the moment, I'm assuming the lost connections are due to the GUI freezing for a moment.  The performance of the GUI is not what I'd like it to be. Over the last few days I have been working on improving the performance. I will try to upload the update as soon as possible, shouldnt be longer than a few days.

Hi Kobalt!

Glad to hear the guide has helped you out, there are no good tutorials for this available indeed. For reference, it can be found here: SSL Configuration

I suppose spreading it out would speed up the process, but I dont think this is the way to go long-term. At the moment, the cycle of updates between the gunbot and the GUI is not optimal. I am not exactly sure where the problem lies, if it is gunbot or GUI. There is an open issue on Github for this topic. That being said, the gunbot features a websocket connection and I have been working on integrating this into the GUI. This should enable a much more real-time communication between the two. It also eliminates the need to the current log transfer, which would be good for perfomance of the GUI too. This will be available in the next version of the GUI.

The GUI supports multiple instances just fine. You will need to keep the following things unique for each instance though:
  • GUI port (gui-config.json)
  • GUI "name" variable (gui-config.json) (only for 0.96 and above)
  • Gunbot wss server port (config.js) (only from v5)

In order to access your GUI on VPS from the outside, you need to configure your firewall. It needs an exception rule for inbound TCP connections on port 8080 (or the port you are using for GUI). I am in the process of writing another wiki article for this ;), will try to remember to update it here when it is done. hey guys can someone help me understand what i'm seeing in the attached screenshot?

i can't understand why the ticker price is below the target price and no purchase is executed. is it a problem with my understanding of the numbers, or is there maybe a problem with my installation?

any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi Camineet,

This could have to do with the same cycling issue discussed above (but I am just guessing here)

Hi, I'm a new user and can see targets are included in the charts as a feature - however I'm unable to get these to show on my setup. Do I need to give the bot some time to establish a target perhaps? Or maybe because I'm holding coins which were purchased before I can the GUI? Thanks!

 - Mike

New version 0.98 is out!

New features
  - Added support for Cryptopia exchange
  - Gunbot targets are now shown on chart
  - Pause gunbot log output per pair

Improvements
  - Bugfixes to backend
  - Improved performance of how GUI handles gunbot
  - Crash logs are sent to client for debugging

In general the GUI is nice, but the follow things I dont like / would like to see an upgrade:

1.)
If you override a coin, the + is nice, but not really visible (make the word, like stepgain+ something like <b> STEPGAIN +
that its more visible, or a color or whatever - but its sooo small.

2.) if you override one coin, u are - with the GUI - never be able to go back to a other - standard - strategy.
Means: now i override stepgain (copy to override) to buy_enable false and change the buylvl1-3 - i am not able to go back later to the original stepgain strategy again (i need to delete the "override" part in the gunbot config) -> would be great if you can choose back the original strategy

3.) time zone still not fixed

4.) Very often, the GUI is not able to calculate -> see attachment
Also its not able to calculate if you made double_buy orders.

Hi Mike,

In order to show buy & sell targets please make sure the VERBOSE mode is enabled in the gunbot configuration. If they still dont show, please let me know

1) You are right, its not really visible. I added it as a small bonus at the time (it was better than nothing). This will probably change in the future.

2) I hope I understand you correctly, but you should be able to remove any override setting with the GUI as well. Simply press the red X button to the left of the setting.

3) Correct, it will be fixed as soon as possible (I've been saying this for a while, I know)

4) The GUI will only calculate profits when it can match the amount of sell and buy order(s). In order for your example to work, please go to "Options" and increase the "Aggregation delta" until your buy orders have been aggregated together (1440 minutes is a day, try this). After that, the sell order can match the amount and profit / loss will be shown.

Hi, Trying to install try our version of GUI 0.95 no for Gunbot 3.3.2. I am not very technical so run into problems. I followed the instructions, but when I tried to run Gui it I got this message

2017-09-30 15:16:12: Trial license enabled for exchanges: poloniex, kraken, bittrex
2017-09-30 15:16:12: Trial countdown started, exitting in 8 hours (key valid for a week)
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Failed to connect to PM2 daemon
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Please make sure it is installed and running
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Start by installing a recent version of nodejs (recommended: 7.1+)
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Next, install PM2 globally by running "npm install pm2 -g"
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Then, spawn a PM2 daemon by running "pm2 ping"
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Once completed, run the Gunbot GUI again
2017-09-30 15:16:14: Tip: PM2 has cool commands, like "pm2 list" and "pm2 monit"
Press a key to exit

I have installed Nodejs. Bu the rest I do not understand. How do I install M2 and where it is? How do I spawn PM2 daemon by running "pm2 ping"?

Sorry, perhaps it is something obvious but I could not find any guide to do it myself.

Hey Sjakil,

I'm looking to upgrade from 5.0.4 to the latest nightly build 5.0.54 with GUNTHY_API for BB on Bittrex.
Does the latest version of the GUI still use SMA:10 for BB or have you changed it to match gunbot and exchanges which mostly use SMA:20 for calculating BB?

If not is there a way to change this value in GunthyGUI and if not what do you suggest, set exchanges to match GUI or (and I'm sorry to suggest such a crude workaround ignore the GUI BB for now and look at candles when setting Buy and Sell targets?

Also on 5.0.54 im getting this error and pairs do not seem to load..:

After a while you get disconnected, 5.0.4 would have this too if i would press an unresponsive button a few times ;)

P.S.: A great thread on matching gunbot BB to exchanges and GUI output is found here:

At the moment the GUI is still set to a fixed SMA of 10. No way to easily change this as the end user. In the next few versions I want to change this, charting options will be extended and much more flexible.

The first screenshot shows some very unexpected results, it seems to me there is something going on with the configuration file. I haven't done extensive testing for version 5.0.4 though, can you please check if this still occurs using 5.0.54?

Thanks for sharing the thread, interesting read =)

I've just done a fresh GUI re-install on 5.0.55 it's loading the pairs... fingers crossed ;)
By the way when using the self generated SSL certificate the webbrowser shows https

Is this a false positive because the certificate is self signed, but still secure using SSL/https?

Edit: Mmm.. This is really strange... Somehow the GUI or gunbot is getting old bought prices:

I don't know if this is gunbot or also GUI related but some pairs seem to freeze and get unresponsive after a while, this is a know issue and reported at github but until today, his had gone unnoticed or it could have just resulted in the many timeouts after which you needed to refresh or restart which is a good think because then you notice some thing is wrong ....

I just noticed this in the GUI as well:

Now I'm beginning to understand why after a while on 5.0.4 and moving to 5.0.55 and looking over each override I found some pairs that didn't debag.. Which version before this does not have this freezing issue / performs best with the GUI?
I'm running about 50-60 pairs?

This popped up right after trying to refresh the browser so I suspect both gunbot and the GUI are having issues:

Let me know if there's any thing I can do, logs to provide etc and the most stable and responsive build you know of.

Thanks in advance!

This is expected behaviour, the browser is telling you that the certificate was not made by an authority it recognizes (this is true, it was made on your machine). The point is that you can connect over https, so it is working just fine.

This is a known issue with the gunbot at this time, you can check out this issue on github: https://github.com/GuntharDeNiro/BTCT/issues/115
As of the next version, the GUI will use the gunbot's web socket events wich should be much more stable.

This popped up right after trying to refresh the browser so I suspect both gunbot and the GUI are having issues:

It seems the GUI got some unexpected trade data from the exchange API. Will look into preventing this error, thank you.

Damn - missed out on the price change deadline - was waiting for payday to get it, $75 I'd pay but 0.035 BTC (140 ish) is too much for me unfortunately.

Having a few issues starting the GUI up again. I rolled back to 3.3.3 a few weeks ago. About to fire up 5.5.0.5 again. Got an issue with password for the GUI (it wasn't accepting any of my passwords I used, and I don't remember if i used something different), so I created a new GB folder and extracted the gui into that folder. Ran the startup config, saved. After I saved when it asked me to restart, the dos window would open, but immediately close again and I can't get the GUI to start again in any way. For me to restart it and do config again I have to delete gui-config.json and go through config again, all to no avail. Any ideas? (yes i have a paid for license)

Hi Loonie!

Whenever the GUI closes immediately it has run into some problem. Normally you would see this in your console window but if you double click the executable on windows, you can't. You can however check out the the log file: gui-log.txt, everything should be saved into there. Can you check out what it say there?

I ended up opening it in cmd prompt. The error it came up with was:
"Failed to validate licenses, please check your API keys"
Now, I generated new API's when attempting to restart it from fresh as I read there could be issues.
Is it talking about bittrex API's? Or is it having trouble validating the GUI license? I purchased the GUI via the telegram bot.

Thanks in advance.

It seems the GUI has trouble verifying your license. Please make sure you do the following things:

  • Make sure you configure your GUI license key (this is not your API key) in your GUI configuration
  • Register your API key(s) with your GUI license using @Gunthy_GUI_bot, you can do so using the "API Keys" menu
  • Configure the API key(s) you registered with your GUI license into your GUI configuration
  • Pay attention to any (whitespace) characters that do not belong, like spaces

You can edit your GUI configuration by changing the "gui-config.json" file.
For an example setup you can check out this wiki page:

Hi Sjakil

Am I blind or you not selling this GUI on Bitify any longer :)?

You're not blind at all :) It got delisted automatically and I haven't renewed it since to be honest with you. I feel like the @Gunthy_GUI_bot makes everything a lot easier for everyone. Did you want me to enable it again?

Hi,

using V1.1 and some of my bots have a balance but don't have a buy or sell target. In fact there isn't even a log (it says "No logs received for this bot"). Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi Sjakil,

I have been using the trial for this gui today, it is quite nice.  I decided to purchase and sent your assistant Bot payment for a license about 10 hours ago. It has not sent me back a license yet.  Can you please check into it for me?

Hi Acemeister, it might be number of pairs you use in total. My advice would be to configure your GUI to use a maximum number of pairs per instance and divide them across a number of instances. This should help. You can access this option in the GUI options -> Server configuration.

Hi sedwardstx!

After your purchase, you will not receive a new license key. You can continue using the same key you used for the trial version. If you don't have it anymore, the bot should give it to you when you press the "License Info" button.

Also, in other to fully activate your license, please use the same bot to configure your API keys. You can use the "API keys" menu for this. Please configure the same API key you have used for the GUI. Should you need more info, you can find it here: https://github.com/Sjakil/gunthy-gui/wiki/API-Keys.

Has the winsock error been addressed? Sometimes happens (not all the time but most). Happens even if I start the bot before the GUI. Seems to be working fine in the background, just can't see what is going on. Latest Gunbot, latest GUI.

Just wait few minutes and after the GUI runs the bot(s) all is fine.

I have tried to set up Zenogui with OpenSSL in Windows Server 2016 with no luck. I have added cfg file and the directory to PATH have even tested in command prompt by typing openssl from any directory. It opens OpenSSL no problem. Please advise

I have noticed that whenever I stop gunbot and kick it off again, or when I apply changes to the running setup in gunbot, the Zeno Gui Config JSON is deleted. I then have to reconfigure the Zeno GUI.

Running latest version of Gunbot 7.0.2 on Linux.

Yeah, this is unfortunate, it seems that gunbot deletes all .json files in the directory, including zeno configuration. It has been solved in version 1.31 which I just uploaded.

Regarding the colour of the ticker "last" value - could someone please explain the red / green colour significance

Obviously green means up and red down but based on what?

I had a discussion with someone on the zeno telegram group and was told it was based on the last price for the period you were running but after some testing today that doesn't seem correct.

What actually determines if it's red or green?

Thanks.

Looks REAL nice....but priced close to the Gunbot price itself?

Dont think I have ever spent such a large % on an accessory than the main item, ever!

.....think ill stick to Gunbot monitor for now

this is not an accessory, it is a real interface that increases the value of your GB tremendously. It really helps you make decision on your trading activity. It is worth every penny you spend on it
