GUNBOT General Discussion / Re: Binance API key change
« on: July 13, 2018, 08:35:21 PM »
What's the point of the master key then, Cryptosticks?

Incidentally, I got one of my licenses updated through one of my resellers.  It's working fine.

But the first license I bought, I bought from an individual through your (Cryptostick's) escrow service, and I wouldn't imagine that the guy I bought it from is responsible for updating the API key--I'd imagine the only person that can fix that is Gunther himself...

I thought that's why we had a separate master key--so that we could leave that alone and just change the 'non-master' key.

Is that not how it's supposed to work?

I'm having the same problem with Binance.  I thought it wasn't working just because Binance was down, but Binance is up and I'm getting that 'issue with product details' and 'master key' errors.

My Poloniex bot is working fine (completely different account).

Very frustrated.

I had a similar issue today. I'll take a look at it.  Thanks.

Any chance you could link to the appropriate page on the wiki?  I have a similar question, have read the wiki, and haven't seen the answer.

Services & Third Party Plugins / Free tracking spreadsheet for Binance
« on: January 15, 2018, 04:19:13 PM »
  • Save a copy to your Google Drive. (File, Make a copy...)
  • Click on the Configuration tab.
  • Fill in your API & Secret.
  • Optional: Change Interval and/or GMT/UTC offset.
  • Click on the Balance tab.
  • Fill in your starting information: date, time, initial BTC balance.
  • Click the Manual update button. (This will download your account info from Binance and set up the automated schedule based on your interval.)
  • You will be prompted about security. If you want this spreadsheet to do anything, you will need to accept the warnings.  (See Authorization below.)
  • Profit.

Slightly More Verbose Description:
First of all, the code is directly visible under Tools, Script Editor.  There's nothing nefarious there.  I promise.  In order for the updates to run automatically on a schedule, Google needs permission to run the Apps Script engine and update your spreadsheet remotely without you manually doing it.

Incidentally, I was able to write the code so that it sets up the schedule and adjusts the times based on your local timezone, provided you put the correct format in the Configuration tab.  I wanted more granular updates, so I go more frequently than hourly, and then clean up the spreadsheet by deleting rows I no longer need to keep weekly/daily/hourly historical data.

You will be asked to authorize the script.  When you do so, you will need to choose the Google account that you copied the spreadsheet to.  It will then say that the app isn't verified.  There should be an Advanced link in the bottom left of the window.  Click that, and then the link that says Go to Auto Update - Binance (unsafe).  Once you're there, you can see what the script will be allowed to do.  Click the Allow button here, and you should be good to go.

Thanks & Attributions:
First of all, I want to thank christye for the inspiration and the template that I used to create a tracking spreadsheet for Binance.  You can find that thread with the Poloniex version here:,1124.0.html

Full disclosure: I sent a donation to christye--as should you if you're using the spreadsheet!--and all of these code changes can be integrated into the Poloniex version if christye is interested in my doing so.

Feel free to unload bags or dust on me (PM me for wallet addresses of your garbage coins).  I'll take pretty much anything if I can find a wallet for it.

Cryptosticks did a great job walking us through the escrow process.  Very responsive, polite, and helpful.

Wonderful service!
