HUGE!
Amazing who would have thought that adjusting the time frame would have such a huge impact....

Which version of gunbot are you using with this? (I assume 5.0.55?)
Big thanks!

Set ip up Like this to prevent loss as soon as btc dumps or pumps:

Right now the market is still up, but not longer pumping:

AltCoins are goind back to stable:

Let me know if i can help to set it up
Jess

Is this only related to BTC's expected price influence on alts? Or a per pair setting to avoid buying in DUMPS in general with all your pairs? That would be great, perhaps a sell order with an added % to ensure your order gets filled would complement it well.

4
Hi Jess,

Have you looked at http://spir.ai/exchange ?
Looks a lot more accurate /reliable than the tradingview trends I think and percentages gained match up closely to what I monitor. On the other hand I wouldn't blindly trust tradingview pairs marked as a strong buy / strong sell too, but you have your own possibilities to filter this of course.

For 5 minute charts on Bittrex, using 5.0.5, should the SMAPERIOD not be 120? Also using Sjakil's gui I should add. Thanks for all of your hard work and knowledge!

On v5.0.5.5 for Bittrex, you should now have GUNTHY_API=false, and then the SMAPERIOD should be 10 if you want to match SJakil's GUI charts.

For v5.0.5.5, the only candles that should be using the GUNTHY_API is 15 (for Bittrex only).
As we on 55 are no longer calculating SMAPERIOD but simply entering either default 20 or 10 SMAPERIOD for Sjakils GUI:

For 15 minute candles on SMAPERIOD:20
Set GunthyAPI=true:
EMA1: 8,
EMA2: 4,
(Do these stay unchanged when using SMAPERIOD:10?)

For 5 minute candles on SMAPERIOD:20
Set:
EMA1: 24,
EMA2: 12,
(Do these stay unchanged when using SMAPERIOD:10?)

1 minute intervals at SMAPERIOD:20
Set:
EMA1: 120,
EMA2: 60,
(Do these stay unchanged when using SMAPERIOD:10?)

My question that remains is regarding these values, to change or not to change?:
"interval_ticker_update": 15000,
"period_storage_ticker": 2000,

Hi Jan & Jessmil,

Great to see a reactive solution to market conditions in such a way as you have developed!

I used a scheduled buy level updater for stepgain according to market conditions before, but this was a feature that came with an old proxy (and for poloniex only) (will send you the still functioning one with some of my scripts to blacklist coins or add low volume coins you still need to sell, that need to be included etc. a friend bundled this all and expanded on it a bit)

Since then I have been looking for something like this, but compatible with the newest versions of gunbot and Bittrex, nowhere to be found..... So great to come across your thread / product and look forward to use it.

But I also was looking for ways to AVOID BUYS AT DUMPS and those VERY expensive bags... I suggested RSI and Stoch RSI as TA indicators for Gunbot.. which is still only in prototype phase...

I have since then found such a tool for Bittrex, it scans Bittrex in realtime for volume and price changes.
So instead of daily gains as seen on the frontpage, which can be a coin pumped this morning..
You see what pairs (you can filter by volume) are traded in realtime: price, gain and volume updates.
Great to spot trending high healthy volume coins, pre pumps, create your own 'signals' or what every gunbot user wants: avoid buys in dumps.

The first part (detecting pre pumps or the start of them) is very prone to false positives and needs close monitoring and timing, spotting healthy volume is easily done by filtering by volume and checking the coin of course.

But a warning signal for MarketTrender to mark pairs override "BUY_ENABLED": false on DUMPS for a while as volume and price is decreasing to a level where it's a good idea to grab some, after a lot of activity is no problem at all.

I could could arrange for the developer to perhaps  feed you a list of coin pairs (filtered by volume) which are either being pumped or traded heavily like a pair such as NEO oversold is practically a non issue as it will go above RSI: 80 a couple of times in an hour and have made dips in between, even then it's still going up in price or a custom module to incorporate in your bot so you get the data directly from Bittrex...

When I read your thread, the first thing I did was contact him, because how exited I am at the thought of what this can do for you when you have these capabilities working for you together:

You will have the perfect market trender and signal generator, you see where the action is, know which pairs to trade and when to stop trading them, because you have an early warning system, get better gains and avoid bags even in a bullish markets....and in bearish markets buy when it's oversold it;s bound to readjust to previous levels or at least give a nice corrective jump, (the good falling knives give 20%) This could all be automated... ::)

Here's how one of my screens has a few instances from monitor 2 (left side of the screen)  min change 2% volume 0.2btc this picks up light activity Monitor 5 (top right of the screen)  min change 5% volume 1 BTC, Monitor 8 (second down)  min change 8% volume 1 BTC, Monitor 10 min change 10% volume 1 BTC:

I don't know if this is gunbot or also GUI related but some pairs seem to freeze and get unresponsive after a while, this is a know issue and reported at github but until today, his had gone unnoticed or it could have just resulted in the many timeouts after which you needed to refresh or restart which is a good think because then you notice some thing is wrong ....

I just noticed this in the GUI as well:

Now I'm beginning to understand why after a while on 5.0.4 and moving to 5.0.55 and looking over each override I found some pairs that didn't debag.. Which version before this does not have this freezing issue / performs best with the GUI?
I'm running about 50-60 pairs?

This popped up right after trying to refresh the browser so I suspect both gunbot and the GUI are having issues:

Let me know if there's any thing I can do, logs to provide etc and the most stable and responsive build you know of.

Thanks in advance!

I've just done a fresh GUI re-install on 5.0.55 it's loading the pairs... fingers crossed ;)
By the way when using the self generated SSL certificate the webbrowser shows https

Is this a false positive because the certificate is self signed, but still secure using SSL/https?

Edit: Mmm.. This is really strange... Somehow the GUI or gunbot is getting old bought prices:

Hey Sjakil,

I'm looking to upgrade from 5.0.4 to the latest nightly build 5.0.54 with GUNTHY_API for BB on Bittrex.
Does the latest version of the GUI still use SMA:10 for BB or have you changed it to match gunbot and exchanges which mostly use SMA:20 for calculating BB?

If not is there a way to change this value in GunthyGUI and if not what do you suggest, set exchanges to match GUI or (and I'm sorry to suggest such a crude workaround ignore the GUI BB for now and look at candles when setting Buy and Sell targets?

Also on 5.0.54 im getting this error and pairs do not seem to load..:

After a while you get disconnected, 5.0.4 would have this too if i would press an unresponsive button a few times ;)

P.S.: A great thread on matching gunbot BB to exchanges and GUI output is found here:
https://gunthy.org/index.php/topic,1417.20.html

10
For those of you braving the v5.0.5.x nightly builds, with the closing proxy server (API.gunthy.org) please note that if you're using the proxy either because that's the version, or using GUNTHY_API = true, the server closing array uses traditional chart units. So don't use 720, use 20.

If you switch GUNTHY_API to false, you need to go back to 720.
This is a bit confusing  :o :D

Im currently still on 5.0.4 but thinking of upgrading to the new nightly 5.0.54.
I hear on Bittrex, the only method to get good calculation is with GUNTHY_API=true
So to match exchanges with 15 minute intervals set 20
and 5 minute period use SMAPERIOD=6.7?

Then with "true" you must use SMAPERIOD=10 to match Sjakil's GUI

If you like 5-min candles, use SMAPERIOD= 3.3 to match Sjakil?

If this is the case ouldn't it make life easier when adjusting buy / sell levels in GunthyGUI to ignore BB and look at the candles instead of adjusting everything to fit the GUI?

Read somewhere it suited a more agressive trading style, will look it up and post the link.

Thanks, I'm currently using 20/5 or 15/5 for fast action and default catch pump not sluggish 50/5 and use 150/20 for long rides even 250/10 when neo goes at it again ;) for these settings!, still I sometimes see a pair with a +3profit in the gui and keep myself from intervening even tho highly overbought etc, but I almost always regret it... When the candle/price changes it doesn't catch it , sort of defeats the purpose of trendwatcher (i know its more history trend, but it should act damm quick and catch that as it's not going to get a heads up...same as fast oversold dips and sometimes it does, could this be due to running to many pairs?? I still feel I need to baby sit it ;D. (Even the hi-lo-hi stepgain settings won't catch it when a candle collapse i've seen btw) What could we do to safe guard our profits like a stop take profit feature, a conditional order would also be too late i'm guessing, but then again why aren't stop losses? mmmm still a lot to learn.. ;)

12
Ah awesome thanks for clarifying this.

Perhaps unrelated but not entirely sure..
Do you know how to make gunbot more sell happy, I have seen it go over step2 in the GUI green +1.3% or something similar then drop back without a sale, kida feels it needs baby sitting...  ???

Maybe a slightly tweaked version "STDV": 1.9 would be more aggressive? I'm pretty sure EMA doesn't do anything I can pick up on, tried bbstepgain with 5 minute interval with EMA 1 + EMA 2 with:
2000/1000, 200/50, 4/2, also tried 8/4 really cannot notice any difference..;)
AVGPOINTS from default 250-15 still had missed sells now trieing this bbstepgain setting which either way it has to go up or sell but even this simply does not always detect quick enough:

Yesterday made a nice 5.6% sell with this config on poloniex:

By the way this is on topic..: Do you have the correct SMA EMA1, EMA2 and BB settings for Poloniex for me? It doen't quite look right..  :D And can't seem to find the post anymore..

Wow, great post, very helpful!

This is probably very obvious to most of you, but why does pure BB strategy use "SMAPERIOD": 50 and and others like the bbstepgain, bbgain "SMAPERIOD": 150? how does this correlate the the same BB?

I'm also a Sjakils GunthyGUI user and think those Bollinger Bands are pretty odd.. When looking for optimal buy sell levels and it's often totally curved/diagonal.. Due to it being a small part on the screen only.. Would love a uniform way and same BB everywhere, thanks! Will try your settings and looking forward to Sjakils next update!

Hi Sjakil,

Just got SSL working and updated to v0.991! thanks for that wiki article a lifesaver! Windows is a nightmare.. I even created signed certificates but while uploading the .pem key file and then the certificate and vice versa it prompted it should have a .pem extention. Very happy it's done, thanks to your only working guide (I have tried a few..;))

Loving the GUI,  already noticed a few pairs that were triggering stop losses etc cutting profits where debagging would be better etc.. so it's a big help in finetuning settings and keeping up with a lot of pairs.

My question is, would dividing a lage amount of pairs (running around 80 pairs atm) across multiple instances speed things up?

(I'm getting the feeling gunbot gives some pairs more attention than others, might also be due to the large number of pairs or the GUI.  It is missing quick, brief price changes, where it if it was on the pair could have made several quick 1-2% buys and sells, but have seen this when running it in terminal too..)

Talking about multiple instances, would it be possible to create a few Gunbot folders/instances for different configs and get them, each on a different tabs in the webbrowser?

Taking this a step further I'm currently using two VPS's how do I get the GUI's of my VPS on my local browser? or iPad etc?

Also, maybe these must still update but why don't these buy sell values correspond to the BB settings?

As of late this night none of my pairs fully load!?
What's going on here? I also get it on my local install...
I'm assuming you mean that you dont see any targets or errors? If so, please enable the VERBOSE mode in the gunbot configuration. This should bring them back.

As for generating a self signed certificate, I wrote a wiki article about this. I hope it can help you out!
https://github.com/Sjakil/gunthy-gui/wiki/SSL-Configuration

Thanks, verbose did the trick! I will have a go at the ssl configuration again today.

By the way is there a way to save multiple configs for a strategy? So you can quickly swap according to market conditions, or how a pair is doing?

Like 5 or 15 minute intervals or with other experiments so you can easily revert to tried and tested settings?
BB debag+double up and a BB40/40 gain 0.7 scalping setting plus different bbstepgain/stepgain configurations like: light buy, medium buy and red market/catching deep dips buy levels without needing to edit values in each override every time?

So will run only the bot while I figure out this following hurdle:
Setting up Openssl on a Windows Server 2016 Contabo VPS... Wasn't as difficcult as i thought, It's worse! I can't seem to get it to work..😅

in advanced system settings PATH is already there, but it does not accept any form of PATH=C:\;C:\OpenSSL\, how exactly should you format this path?

also this isn't very clear what to do next:
Quote
The PATH is the system variable that your operating system uses to locate needed executables from the command line or Terminal window.
The PATH system variable can be set using System Utility in control panel on Windows, or in your shell's startup file on Linux and Solaris.
Making changes to the system PATH variable is typically not necessary for computers running Windows or Mac OS X.

Windows
Windows 10 and Windows 8

In Search, search for and then select: System (Control Panel)
Click the Advanced system settings link.
Click Environment Variables. In the section System Variables, find the PATH environment variable and select it. Click Edit. If the PATH environment variable does not exist, click New.
In the Edit System Variable (or New System Variable) window, specify the value of the PATH environment variable. Click OK. Close all remaining windows by clicking OK.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.??? What java code?

Also get two options to install in bin/bla bla or C:\OpenSSL\ installation folder, have tried both also 32 and 64 bit versions of the windows installer found here:http://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html

Meanwhile I will soldier on and try these steps: https://blog.didierstevens.com/2015/03/30/howto-make-your-own-cert-with-openssl-on-windows/

Can highly recommend Ben's service, not at all bothered to answer a few questions I couldn't find at first sight on wiki alone.

And who doesn't like a whopping 20% discount? Right..! ;)

Thanks Ben!

P.s.: I'm loving the visual feedback of buy sell targets, this with the profit/loss per pair make it very easy to spot and optimise inefficient pair settings plus where needed plug some potential leaks.

(This must be due to 'slippage' it's called, because I thought I was doing everything right. Still there were pairs that were running at a loss, so this will recoup itself pretty quick especially when you can optimise the pairs that earn you most...8))

Security margin does NOT work, I have it set at 20 and have several bags at -24% it just doesn't sell

19
That is an excellent suggestion!  ;D

Btw somehow the P price and -E are connected somehow, i now get the error field when tying to get back the Profit field ( know it isn't accurate but it's motivation none the less  ;D  when i use say -c -s P -r 10 -H 3 theres no price field but do get a free error field ;)

let's see if it behaves better when i link these folders.
Will let you know what worked.

Mmmm im getting frustrated your idea looked perfect but no it gives: https://www.dropbox.com/s/02lzokiv2hfji5r/Screenshot%202017-07-02%2007.29.51.png?dl=0

with: @echo off

cd C:\Users\Administrator\Documents

gmon -p \PoloniexGUNBOT\gunbotProxy1.4\gunbotProxySettings1.2\gunbot:BittrexGUNBOT -c -sP -r 20 -H 3 -E

will try a single folder first perhaps... :-\

Heya love Gunbot Monitor.

I'm trying to write a script to watch two folders (on Windows Server 2016) separating the folders like this, results in an error because of the colons:

@echo off

gmon -p C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Bittrex GUNBOT_v3.3.2:C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Bittrex GUNBOT_v3.3.2

What is the correct way to enter file path in a windows environment?

Also reducing the refresh interval doesn't seem to work, it starts but it will not display any pairs.
Edit: adding a space between -sP made gmon -c -s P -r 10 -H 3 -E work
Edit2 The refresh rate worked but Price wasn't shown anymore, after some shuffling gmon P -c -s -r 10 -H 3 -E did the trick... :) but.... not for a lot of pairs somehow on polo with proxy....
