Technical Support & Development / Re: Bitmex pairs
« Last post by Aitor on February 14, 2019, 01:27:24 AM »
I've managed to make the grid appear by placing random orders via Bitmex by hand, from there the bot also started to insert orders...
Maybe it had something to do with the account being never used before?

Once the first trade is made, the bot has a reference price to start working with :)

GUNBOT General Discussion / Re: GUNTHY token celebration day

Now I'm getting "Ping from license server is unavailable." Switched to previous version (v11), and it says "Invalid response from license server, contact your reseller!"

I don't care about gunthy coin. Can I get my gunbot to run again PLEASE???

My gunthy wallet address is : 0xa1b00063c7bf37ad81e4d558b746ec599fa3130e and there's 0 coins there even though it's linked to my gunbot api. Where do I go to get the 1000 coins promised and get my gunbot to run again?

You don't need to get the tokens. You can just run the bot without them. In the case you want to get them, you just need to keep the bot turned on running v12 with your Gunthy wallet added and connected to the api keys you want to get the tokens for. Adding 1 pair is enough and you can enable "Watch_mode" if you don't want to trade and just get the tokens. When? When the next airdrop takes place. Last time it was a few days ago, but there will be airdrops in regular basics, so no rush. You reseller should let you know the date of the next airdrop.

Other BTC pairs also seem ok (even if quote shows as 'H19'), I've set overrides for lower\higher contract sizes to avoid overleverage  ;)

Have you checked api permissions? You should check "Order" and uncheck "Cancel orders".

Is it too late to receive 1000 gunthy coins?

Also, what do you mean you have to have 1000 gunthy coins for gunbot to run?

There will be more airdrops, so you can still get 1000 Gunthys for each activated api you have.

How to Setup Gunbot in Contabo Linux VPS

Windows user

In case you are using a Windows operating system on your local machine, you will have to install a suitable SSH client first.

We recommend to use PuTTy as SSH client:

http://www.putty.org/

After installing PuTTy, open the client and enter the IP address of your Server. The port, in this case the standard SSH port 22, can be changed as well if needed.

Click 'Open' to initiate the connection. You can leave all options to default.

Should this be the first time to connect to the server, you will have to accept its SSH certificate:

Afterwards, you will see the following:

Please insert
Code: [Select]
root (login as:) and your password, which you can find in our e-mail "Your Login Data". Kindly note, SSH will not display any letters or symbols when typing the password. You can also copy and paste your password by using the right mouse key (please make sure not to copy your password with blank characters at the end - you can check so by pasting the password into an empty editor file before using it).

Now, click the
Code: [Select]
Enter key. Once done, you should get access to your server via SSH and the connection has now been established successfully.

Let's prepare the server now:

Make sure the system is updated and the needed dependencies are installed using the command:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get install unzip
Now let's install TMUX so Gunbot doesn't close automatically when the connection with the VPS is closed. Tmux is a terminal multiplexer. If the client is disconnected, the server keeps running. When you reconnect to your server after rebooting your computer or losing your Internet connection, you can reattach to the tmux session and the files you were working with will still be open, and the processes you had running will still be active.

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install tmux
In essence, when tmux is started it creates a new session with one window and one pane. Start a session:

Code: [Select]
tmux
Your terminal window should have a green menu bar at the bottom.

Now we go to Gunbot's Github and download the latest version for Linux:

Code: [Select]
wget https://github.com/GuntharDeNiro/BTCT/releases/download/v12/lin.zip
Now we extract it:

Code: [Select]
unzip lin.zip
Lastly, we go to the new created folder and start Gunbot Core - Gui server:

Code: [Select]
./gunthy-linux

With it running, in your local computer, open Firefox or another modern and safe browser and type:

your_vps_IP:5000. Ie: 192.01.242.12:5000

You can now access the graphic user interface to manage your Gunbot

Safely closing connection with Server:
shortcuts: tmux uses what is called a prefix key, which is CTRL+b by default. Tmux will interpret the keystroke following the prefix as a tmux shortcut. For example: to detach from your session using a shortcut: press CTRL+b, release both keys and then press d.

When ready to leave session and server, press 'ctrl-b d' for (d)etaching from your session, taking you back to your regular shell prompt where you can type logout or just close Putty clicking on the close icon.

When you want to reattach, connect to your server via Putty, and after the Contabo Welcome window, just type 'tmux attach' to get back to it.

Technical Support & Development / Bitmex pairs
« Last post by brenta on February 13, 2019, 12:01:15 PM »
Hi there, I'm having problems to setup Bitmex, err.log shows
2019/02/13 12:19:48 ETH-USD@bitmex
Error: {}
2019/02/13 12:20:02 ADA-H19@bitmex
Error: {}
2019/02/13 12:20:17 XRP-H19@bitmex
Error: {}

XBT-USD doesn't show the error after setting TRADING_LIMIT to 10, but still hasn't done any trade even with a very basic Gain trend followng strategy, and the grid does not show in the console.
It appears other instruments at the exchange use a 'base' that Gunbot cannot understand, as shown in the screenshot.
I've also tried switching Bitmex to a secondary API and deleted gunbotgui.db.
Thanks in advance.

Is there any progress on this? I am getting the "Too many redirects" problem on ARM v12.8.1 build 998.

Thank you! :)
